Convert any clock time from one city to another. Offsets and daylight saving rules come from your browser, not from a server.
How the conversion works
Pick a date and time, a source zone, and a target zone. The tool builds that moment in the source zone, then prints the same instant in the target zone. If the date falls in daylight saving time for that region, the browser applies the correct offset automatically.
Your device clock is the reference for “Use now.” If the computer time is wrong, the converted result will be wrong by the same amount. The page does not contact a time API.
Use this when you schedule a call across countries, check a flight arrival in local time, or compare a deadline written in UTC. For a live wall of city clocks without converting a specific hour, use the World Clock instead.
How to use
- Leave the date on “now”, or type the appointment time in the source zone.
- Choose From and To. Common cities are listed first.
- Click Convert. The result shows the local date, weekday, and UTC offset on both sides.
- Tap a popular pair to fill the two menus, then convert again if you changed the time.
Daylight saving and odd offsets
New York, London, and Sydney change clocks during the year. A 5-hour gap in January can be 4 hours in July. Always convert the real date of the meeting, not “typical winter time.”
Some zones are not whole hours. India is UTC+5:30 and parts of Australia use +9:30 or +10:30. Those values are included in the city list.
Popular buttons only change the two zone menus. They do not overwrite the date you typed, so you can test the same meeting hour against several city pairs. Swap zones if you were given a time in the other city and need to work backwards.
World Clock on this site shows “what time is it there right now.” This converter answers “what time is 3:00 PM there on a specific date.” Use Countdown if you already know the target instant and want a timer.
Frequently asked questions
Is the result in 12-hour or 24-hour time?
The output follows this browser’s locale. The source field uses a 24-hour datetime control in most browsers.
Why is my city missing?
The list is a practical subset of IANA zones. Pick the nearest official zone (for example, Chicago for much of the US Central area).
Does this plan meeting overlap?
It converts one instant. For a multi-city live view, open World Clock. For a countdown to the meeting, use Countdown.
Are times uploaded?
