PNG to PDF

PNG is embedded as PNG. JPEG is embedded as JPEG. WebP and GIF are drawn on a canvas first, so animation is lost and only the first frame is used. The default page is A4 with the picture fitted and centered. Match image size uses 1 pixel = 1 point, capped so a huge photo does not become an enormous page. Limit: 30 images. Nothing is uploaded.

Turn one or more pictures into a PDF without sending them anywhere. This is a dedicated page for PNG and other still images. JPG to PDF is the older tool and stays available.

How to use

  1. Add up to 30 images. Remove any you do not want. The PDF page order is the list order.
  2. Fit on A4 centers each picture with a margin. Match image size makes the page the same size as the pixels, in points.
  3. Create the PDF and download it. A transparent PNG stays transparent on the page. WebP is flattened.

Which files work

PNG and JPEG are passed to the PDF library directly when the file is valid, so they are not recompressed by a canvas. If a PNG is interlaced or otherwise rejected, it is redrawn and embedded again. WebP and GIF always go through a canvas because the PDF library does not embed those formats.

HEIC from an iPhone is not decoded here. Convert it with HEIC to JPG first, then come back.

Match image size caps the long side at 2,000 points. A 6,000-pixel photo would otherwise create a poster-sized page that is awkward to print.

Questions

Does a transparent PNG get a white box?

Not when it embeds as PNG. WebP and GIF are drawn onto a white canvas, so their empty areas become white.

Can I mix PNG and JPG?

Yes. Each file becomes its own page. The page size follows the setting you picked, not the first image only.

Is this the same as JPG to PDF?

JPG to PDF is the existing tool and uses the image pixel size as the page size. This page adds A4 fitting and accepts PNG, WebP, and GIF on one screen.
